Demystifying your profile status.
Your hackajob profile will go through different statuses as you use the platform. You can find the current status of your profile on the dashboard when you log in and in the top right-hand corner of most screens.
Below, we have explained the different types of profile status, which can explain why your profile is currently visible/not visible to employers:
New sign-up
Congratulations, you are officially part of the hackajob community! If you have specified you are actively looking for a new job in the sign-up process, it will not be long until your profile is reviewed by our team, and your profile status will change to ‘Live’. This usually takes a maximum of 24 hours on any weekday, and we will let you know if there is anything else we need to get you live!
Live
Please note that when your profile status is Live, employers have the expectation that you are actively looking for a new job, so we recommend responding to your requests within a 48-hour period, if possible.
If your profile status is currently Live, you will not be able to make changes to your salary expectations, work experience, or right to work. This means you won't be disqualified from any interview processes you have already engaged in. If you would like to make amendments to your profile, contact your Talent Success Manager, and they can make these changes for you.
Live period complete
Your profile status will initially be live for 6 weeks. After these 6 weeks, your profile status will temporarily change to ‘Live Period Complete’. Your profile will remain at this status for another 6 weeks, unless you choose to extend your Live period because you are still looking for a new job, or change your status to ‘Off the Market’.
If you do nothing, your profile status will automatically change to ‘Off the Market’. We might ask you to re-confirm your details if your profile has been live for a long period of time.
Back on the market
Welcome back! It may have been a while since your profile was last updated, so once you have re-confirmed your details, our team can approve your profile and change your status to ‘Live’. This usually takes a maximum of 24 hours on any weekday.
Off the market
Stealth mode. This means your profile is currently invisible to employers, and this status will remain permanently until you tell us you are back on the market. Don’t worry though, you can still access our media content, coding challenges, and upload your past coding projects.
No matches
This status means no live jobs meet your desired role criteria. If you see this status, we recommend you contact your Talent Success Manager, who can share advice on how to improve or amend your profile. Don’t worry though, new jobs are added to hackajob daily, your profile will remain in this status for 6 weeks before it changes to ‘Off the Market’. During these 6 weeks, if your profile matches with a new job, your status will automatically change to ‘Live’. So keep an eye out for requests just in case!
