How long will it take to receive interview requests from employers?

The timing largely depends on factors such as the current demand for your profile and the alignment of available roles with your preferences.

How quickly you receive interview requests depends on two main things:

  • How closely your profile aligns with roles that are currently open
  • How many employers are actively hiring for your type of experience

Some candidates receive interview requests within a few days. For others, it can take longer depending on market demand, location preferences and seniority level.

What happens once your profile is live?

As soon as your profile goes live, Archer starts working, continuously comparing your experience, transferable skills, salary expectations, location preferences and employer requirements. He works 24/7 in the background.

You may see one of several situations, all of which are normal:

  • Roles you can apply to, but no companies reaching out yet — Archer has found strong apply matches for you, but no employer has actively selected your profile yet
  • Companies that might reach out, but no roles to apply to yet — employers are browsing matched profiles in your area, but no apply matches are currently available for your preferences
  • Both matched roles and companies — you have options in both directions
  • No matches yet — there are currently no open roles or active employers aligned with your profile

The platform reflects current alignment and demand in real time. Not every profile view from a company will result in a request — employers make their own decisions based on their current hiring needs.

When do interview requests happen?

Interview requests appear in your Requests tab when a company is actively searching, your profile shows strong alignment with their role, and your preferences match their requirements. You will always see the full job details and salary before deciding whether to accept.

What if I don't see matches yet?

If you do not see matches / interview requests immediately, it does not mean there is a problem with your profile. It may simply mean there are currently no open roles aligned with your preferences, or that market demand for your experience is temporarily lower. Archer continues checking your profile against new roles as they are added, so this can change at any time.

For practical steps you can take to improve your chances, read our guide on why you might not be seeing matched roles and what you can do about it.

You can also turn on daily or weekly notifications to be alerted as soon as new matches appear. Roles can move quickly, so seeing matches earlier gives you more time to review and apply.
