Here's how to effectively manage requests on hackajob.
Managing incoming requests is an important part of your job search journey. Here, we'll walk you through the steps to effectively manage requests on the hackajob platform, ensuring you make informed decisions about the roles offered. Let's dive in!
As a job seeker on hackajob, it's important to regularly check your account to stay on top of incoming requests. New requests will be visible in the platform. Additionally, you can set up your notification settings to receive email or SMS alerts whenever you receive a new request, ensuring you never miss an opportunity.
To review a new request, log in to your hackajob account and navigate to the "Requests" section in the main menu.
Upon receiving a request, you can review the company profile and gain relevant information about the organization, such as its tech stack. Additionally, you can review the job specifications, including the location and whether the role is onsite, hybrid, or remote. Take your time to carefully evaluate these details to determine if the role aligns with your preferences and career goals. You'll also find a message from the employer, providing further context.
Once you've reviewed the request and assessed its suitability, you can make a decision. You can either accept or decline each request, based on your interest. In some cases, there may be an application or test to complete before accepting the request.
If you choose to accept the request, you'll be presented with one of two experiences. In the first scenario, you'll see a calendar view displaying the available dates for the interviewer, along with specific time slots for you to choose from and book your interview. Alternatively, if specific dates and times are not shown, you'll be able to suggest your availability through a calendar view. It's recommended to propose as many available times and dates as possible for the next week to maximize scheduling flexibility.
If the role is not a good fit for you, you can decline the request. In such cases, we'll request more information from you to better understand your decision.
